“NIGHT RIDER”, THE ANSWER TO DAVAO CITY KILLINGS? I got instant reactions to our item about the “Night Rider” prowling the streets of Davao City at night, making sure no crime is committed by anyone while everybody is asleep.

I am told that, it seems, the “Night Rider” is the answer to the increasing number of violent, yet unsolved, killings that have gripped the city since Mayor Sara Duterte took over the helms of City Hall last May.

I hope something is done about these by the authorities---about the “Night Rider”, I mean, who is turning out to be a true-blue “vigilante”, if you know what I mean, and about the reported escalating killings in the city which many Dabawenos are getting scared of.

SOLUTION AGAINST RAINS, FLOODS, STRONG WINDS: To satisfy the curious regarding my claim that the Lord Jesus Christ really warned all of mankind about the death and destruction that would come our way from rains, floods and strong winds, I am reproducing Matthew 7:24-27 of the Holy Bible here.

Here is what the passages say: “Everyone who listens to these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on rock. The rain fell, the floods came, and the winds blew and buffeted the house. But it did not collapse; it had been set solidly on rock.

“And everyone who listens to these words of mine but does not act on them will be like a fool who build his house on sand. The rain fell, the floods came, and the winds blew and buffeted the house. And it collapsed and was completely ruined.” There is only one solution then if we want to prevail against the rains, floods and strong winds.

VOLCANIC ERUPTIONS, GOD’S CURSE, TOO: How come volcanoes in the different parts of the world seem to be simultaneously acting up, all at the same time, bringing death and destruction likewise upon hapless men and women across the globe?

This, to me, is also caused by God’s curses which we are already warned about, too. Read Deuteronomy 28:15, 23-24, of the Holy Bible, which says that among the curses God will send to a people who no longer listen to His Word and obey His commands is a rain of ash and dust and powder.

The bad news is that the rains, floods, strong winds and ash and dust will persist, until all of us shall have perished. The good news? We can stop all of these, yes, but only if we sincerely listen to His Word once again, and truthfully obey Him once again.
