LIFE’S INSPIRATIONS: “Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer offered in faith will restore the one who is sick …” (James 5:14-15, the Holy Bible).

ROTARIANS SETS MASSIVE FREE HEALING ON NOV. 21: Are you sick of anything? Do you need urgent medical attention, or you have lumps (or bukol) to be operated on but you have no money to pay your doctors and your medical bills? Or, do you have a legal problem but do not have the money to consult a lawyer? On November 21, 2010, these concerns of yours will all be addressed and attended to.
The reason is that, Rotarians from Manila, Pasay City, Cavite and Occidental Mindoro---the areas covered by Rotary International District 3810 under District Governor Tranquil Salvador III---will hold an unprecedented free medical-dental-surgical and legal help on that date.
In a press statement, Salvador, who is also the president of the Quezon City chapter of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines, asked those who need medical, dental, surgical or legal help but who have no money to pay doctors and lawyers to join District 3810’s mission, an unprecedented first-ever district-wide attempt to make available a host of services simultaneously.

FREE SERVICES AVAILABLE IN FOUR AREAS: “Rotarians from the areas covered by Rotary International District 3810 will provide the doctors and the lawyers, as well as the medicine,” Salvador added.
For Manila residents, the mission will be held at the San Andres Gym near the Malate Church. For Pasay City residents, the mission will be held at the Pasay City Sports Gym, near the Cuneta Astrodome, Senior Deputy Governor for Public Relations Karen Tamayo said.
Tamayo added that for Cavite, the mission will be held at the Teneros Convention Hall, Rosario, Cavite, while the mission for Occidental Mindoro will be held at the Municipal Gym in Sudlon, Rizal, Occidental Mindoro.
Salvador said the massive mission is being undertaken by Rotarians pursuant to the thrusts of current Rotary International President Rey Klinginsmith to make Rotary’s world-famous “service above self” concretized even to the most ordinary individual.
“I am therefore appealing to our countrymen to join us in this event and avail of Rotary’s service above self,” Salvador added.--Atty. Batas Mauricio
