Most of the emerging millionaires nowadays are in the field of information technology, for inventors, and those who have innovative ideas that became hit products or in-demand services worldwide. Regardless of age or culture, these people are the millionaire CEOs of their own companies. And they credit God for their talent they have discovered and the “angel-investors” who believed in them (gave them the necessary capital and initial business support).

But will our innovative inventions and ideas give us the opportunities to be rich and successful? IdeaSpace Foundation firmly believes this is possible, and they like to find that inventor and innovator in our city next week.

IdeaSpace in coordination with the Zamboanga Information Communication Technology (ZICT) and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)-Region 9 will conduct a Technopreneur Bootcamp in Ateneo de Zamboanga University from May 1 to 3. The event encourages anyone who has a business idea or creativity to bring it out, and if it is deemed to be laudable, IdeaSpace will finance it with capital, mentors, office space, and will launched it giving credit to the innovator (a step to be a millionaire).

IdeaSpace has a pool of speaker mentors and a program that aims to help budding technology entrepreneurs develop groundbreaking solutions and transform these into successful commercial products. They go beyond "angel investing" to startups. They offer a program that combines business incubation and acceleration by providing:

(1)    Access to resource: seed funding and other resources/services needed by any startup;
(2)    Business education: learning via mentorship from business leaders, experience exchange with members from supporting group of companies and fellow technopreneurs; and
(3)    Connection: opportunity to demonstrate or showcase products to potential investors.

The best part also, Ideaspace have partnerships with top technology vendors and affiliations with globally recognized technology incubators/accelerators to learn and replicate successes. Its aspiration is to bring positive change in the society, thus, the Bootcamp program for innovation and technopreneurship welcome ideas and solutions that can support social development.

IdeaSpace Foundation, Inc., a non-profit organization, is formed by the largest and most diverse group of companies that are leaders in their own industries. These companies include First Pacific, Metro Pacific Investments Corporation (MPIC), Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation, MPIC hospital group, Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT), Meralco, Smart Communications, Inc (Smart), Digitel, Sun Cellular, SPI Global, ePLDT, Indofood, Philex Mining, Maynilad, MediaQuest, and TV5.

Local schools are encouraged to send their students to learn and be inspired with the speakers of IdeaSpace Foundation. This is also a chance for local inventors and innovators to find out how to turn their inventions and ideas into reality. Business people will also learned what are the newer technology or ideas that can make their companies grow.
