Dr. Carol “Mamiyoy” Carabaña transferring to Cebu City - Queen City of the South PDF Print E-mail

I am out of town when I saw the pictures posted by Christine “Tin-Tin” Lim about the transfer of  Zamboanga City Health Assistant Officer Dr. Carol Carabaña to Visayas Central Sanitarium in Cebu City. I felt a tinge of sadness because I will be missing one of the friendliest and most accommodating (add to that the “smiliest”) government physicians of Zamboanga City.

A despedida and emotional (saw pictures of hugging and crying) was given to her by best friend ZCHO Medical Officer Dr. Rodel Agbulos and his staff at Grand Astoria Hotel the other night. Unlike me, I am sure they will be missing her more. Dr. Mamiyoy has been with the ZCHO for 23 years. She was the Medical Officer of Ayala District Hospital and of Social Hygiene Clinic prior to her present position.

But I am happy for it is a good news that is long overdue and bound to happen. Mamiyoy,as she is fondly called at Zamboanga City Health Office (ZCHO), will be joining her loving and cuddly husband Dr. Lope Carabaña in the same hospital. Dr. Lope has been assigned here for many years as the Chief Hospital Director. Their three children, Lulu, Carlo, and Marco, has been there ahead for college study.

Dr. Mamiyoy, waaahhh, I will be missing seeing you in your ZCHO Office. But I am glad when I go to Cebu City, I know and we will all feel that our good doctora friend is happy to meet us when we meet again. Hugs to you always!
