In celebration of the Western Mindanao State University's 95th Alumni Homecoming and Foundation Day this coming July 18 to 20, the university's Silver Jubilarians, High School Class of 1989 will sponsor “RUN FOR FUN”, a 4 kilometer walk/run on Sunday July 6, 2014.  This is the first of the several activities lined up by WMSU Batch '89 in connection with their High School Silver Jubilee Celebration and the university's 2014 Homecoming.

The fun run aims to raise funds to purchase some facilities and equipment for their high school alma mater.  The run will start and end at the WMSU High School Open Stage along San Jose Road.   Assembly time is at 4:30 AM and kick off will be at 6 AM.

They  are inviting all alumni, family and friends to join the activity as a way to re-connect with their alma mater and support activities that will benefit the university.  “We hope that through this activity, our alumni will remember and recognize the role that the university has played in molding them into the persons they are today”, was how one of the event organizers put it. “This will be a venue for all participants to support the university as it continues to educate the next generation”.

Registration is P100 per person and registration forms are available at the WMSU High School Department.  Early registrants will get a singlet to be included in the race kit.   For more information, please contact Carl Dagalea, the Alumni Relations Coordinator at WMSU High School or Batch '89 Organizers Christian Evangelista at 0916 7479588 or Pinky Muldong at 0999 9839968
