Congratulations to all the Rotarians  3850 of Asia’s Latin City for the success of the conduct of the 2011 Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) held last Aug. 10 to 21 at the Silsilah Center in Sinunuc. RYLA is a  is leadership training program for young people. It emphasizes leadership, citizenship, and personal growth, and aims to demonstrate Rotary's respect and concern for youth, provide an effective training experience for selected youth and potential leaders , encourage leadership of youth by youth, and recognize publicly young people who are rendering service to their communities .

The participants were mostly high school students. Special guests were Zamboanga City Mayor Celso Lobregat, Deputy Speaker for Mindanao Congresswoman Beng Climaco-Salazar and youth leader Boom Enriquez of the Ninoy-Cory Aquino Foundation flew all the way from Manila. Some of the local Rotarians also spoke as resource persons on different topics.
