Sports not only makes one healthy it also promote unity and friendship. And this was seen during the 1st Erbie Fabian Inter-Media Bowling Tournament at the Tebi and Sean Recreational Center in last 3 Saturdays of October (15, 22, and 29). It has inspired the officers and members of the Zamboanga Press Club to continue to sponsor such activity.  Active ZPC President Philip Abuy vowed to conduct more sport activities in the future to strengthen the media relationship and camaraderie.

The Sky Cable bowlers led by Edwin Bernardo emerged as the over-all champion was awarded with P5,000 cash and a trophy. First runner up Radyo ng Bayan of Radio Manager Danny Macansantos received P3,000 plus trophy, followed by second runner up RPN of Station Manager Jerry Lacastesantos who was awarded with P2,500, and with the Media Coalition in the fourth place was awarded with a trophy and a cash prize of P1,500. Fifth place went to RMN receiving a cash prize of P1,000 plus trophy.

There were 9 teams who competed (ABS-CBN, Triba Media Creatives, Easy Rock FM, DXRZ, Sky Cable, Radio ng Bayan, RPN DXXX, Media Coalition, and Hot FM Easy Rock). The highest single for men was Danny Macansantos of Radyo ng Bayan with Ester Doroteo of RPN winning the highest single for women. Highest pinning for men was Jimmy Villaflores of RMN and highest pinning for women was Bianca Viray of Easy Rock FM.
