After 25 years, the Silver Jubilarians of the Western Mindanao State University (WMSU) in the degree course of Biology  once again met each other at their beloved Alma Mater College of Science and  Mathematics (CSM) last December 9.  They enjoyed reminiscing their old school days and now sharing what’s happening in their lives. It was the 92nd Grand Homecoming of the biggest university in Western Mindanao that has produced successful graduates in different fields around the world.

Calling themselves, Bubilarrians (changing the J of the Jubilarian word with B from Biology), CSM headed by Dean Dr. Malou Elago  honored them with a lunch and certificates of achievement last Friday at the CSM Conference Room. There were about 20 Bubilarains led by Dr. Said Hassan who made it “back home” from the 50 plus who graduated. Those who missed it sent their best wishes through Facebook and regretted they could not make it because of work, migrated in other cities or abroad. This is the 2nd WMSU Bubilarans Homecoming. The first batch had it last year.

During the Grand Alumni Fellowship Friday, the 2011 Bubilarians won 3rd place in the alumni talent competition. But more than winning the prize, the camaraderie of being together and  able to dance a hit ‘80’s dance number was more important and the best fun part.  Last night, the WMSU Alumni Association hosted a dinner for all the alumni at the Celebrity Hall of Grand Astoria Hotel.

Welcome home, Bubilarians!
