Whether you like to go to Italy as a tourist or to work, even perhaps just to simply learn to speak a foreign language (Italian), cook Italian food and learn to love Italian culture, there is now a center in Zamboanga City where you can learn everything about Italian in 30 hours!

Villa Italiana Health Charity Center is offering a short course where enrollees can learn to speak basic Italian language, cook real Italian cuisines (pizza, pasta, spaghetti, etc.), brew authentic Italian coffee, adjust to Italian temperaments and appreciate their way of life. Missionary worker Mario Liozio, an Italian who married Zamboanguena Beth Ventulero of Basilan, founded this center years back to help serve different communities of our city particularly in the area of health. And now they are teaching locals who like to learn Italian for whatever purpose in their easy to learn “Italian Language Italian Cuisine” course.

This sweet and noble Lizio couple together with their 7 children decided to stay and live simple lives in the homeland of Beth – a place Mario loves so much. It is very common (unfortunate) that most Filipinos who have worked abroad and married foreigners preferred to stay in another country and only come back to the Philippines for vacation. But for the Lizio Family, Philippines is the best place to stay (more fun in the Philippines they have been saying to their Italian relatives and friends).

If you're interested, visit their school which is located near the end part of Hipolito Drive, San Roque. For only P1,100 registration, one can get a free book, free ingredients in learning to cook Italian food, and free Italian Espresso coffee while learning to learn Italian language (even sing) and appreciate arts, geography, culture, traditions, and politics of the Italians. Class is during weekends 9am to 1pm (Saturday) and 1pm to 6pm (Sunday). Call landline 985-1505 for more details.

Grazie, Lizio Family! Siete benvenuto la Asia’s Latin City!
