Kudos to Zamboanga Fearless Mountaineering Society (ZAFMOS) for reaching the top of Mt. Pulag last April 3, 2012 and waved a banner high for the whole world to know – Save Mother Earth. They specially dedicated this Mt. Pulag conquest as a cry to save the precious watershed of Zamboanga City from coal power plants.

Mount Pulag, standing at 2922 meters above sea level, is the highest peak in Luzon and the second highest in the Philippines. Bordering between the provinces of Benguet, Ifugao, and Nueva Vizcaya, it is described as an “Adventure Above the Clouds" mountain. One can almost touch the sky and shout a clear message to the whole world tio hear from this vantage point. It is one of the must-conquer for local and international mountain climbers.

Beyond the awesomeness of conquering mountains, ZAFMOS have been doing this kind of adventure for noble causes. They have a strong advocacy against human greed for power and wealth at the expense of our natural environment and resources
