The success of the weekend event (April 20-22, 2012) “Mundo de Fotographia” of Camera Club of Zamboanga (CCZ) didn’t only gathered some of our country’s best photographers to come here and shared their knowledge to local and enthusiastic photographers, our city’s best angles will soon be seen in big posters, magazines, newspapers, and internet.  They shot some of our best city tourist spots and committed to publish them as part of their portfolio and in publication where they are connected. And more, they will come back again for more picture taking!

Led by Edy Huang, Chairperson of the Federation of Philippine Photographers Foundation (FPPF), she brought along Mon Corpuz (his pictures are the pictures used by DOT new campaign More Fun in the Philippines), and 2 best professors in photography, Elwin Noche and Joseph Galian. They were joined by John Chua (country’s best ad photographer), Albert Garcia (the Chief Photographer of Manila Bulletin), and Mark Floro (best food photographer) who were sponsored by Canon Philippines.

Thanks to the Philippine Air Force and with the intercession of Zamboanga City Mayor Celso Lobregat, they were able to get aerial pictures of Zamboanga City and hover over the city and Sta. Cruz Island. They were also able to get pictures of the dancing water foundation too at Paseo del Mar the night before.

Department of Tourism Regional Director Mary June Bugante brought too the Manila-based photgraphers to Merloquet Water Falls in Sibulao, Vitali. Corpuz described it as one of the country's prettiest waterfalls system with a distinctive character of multi-layered slates defining it a terraced of thin sheets of cascades like bridal veils. He also was impressed with the off-shore Layag-Layag Community  of the Yellow Boat Project of the Philippine Funds for Little Kids at Barangay Talon-Talon, Zamboanga City)

John Chua’s wife and business partner in photography, Harvey Chua, was all praised. She thanked and congratulated CCZ Pres. Jun Kwan, his officers and members for the success of the Mundo event.
