With the theme, “Shooting Priceless Smiles to Last a Lifetime,” the PWD (Photography With a Difference) of Zamboanga City recently conducted a photo shoot with special children in a local resort at Zambowood. It was coordinated with Tzu Chi Foundation and the Rotary Club of Zamboanga City, and was fully supported by Canon-Philippines.

The special children to make them smile and happy were treated with sumptuous food, balloons, toys, and were entertained by mascots and puppets of By Gem Party Kingdom. They also had the opportunities to play with the Rotarians and Tzu Chi members, ride in horses, swim in the pool and ride boats around the lake of the resort. As they smiled and laughed, the PWD members took pictures and captured moments of happiness.

PWD is an organization of photographers and photography groups that intend to create/increase awareness of social issues through photo workshops and photo exhibits. Through their passion of photography, the PWD members believe that they can touch lives and make a difference particularly if they can get public understanding and support the plights of those affected by social injustice, biases, discrimination, prejudices, and the likes.

The photos taken during this event will be  exhibited during the most awaited bazaar every year, the Tzu Chi Mega Fair and Christmas Bazaar Year 10, at Garden Orchid Hotel on December 12.  Membership to PWD is open to anyone. (Ecclesiastes 3:12-13). “I perceived that there is nothing better for them than to be joyful and to do good as long as they live; also that everyone should eat and drink and take pleasure in all his toil—this is God's gift to man.”
