Hindi lang pang-edukasyon, pang sports pa! I admire the different achievements of our local Department of Education (DepEd)-Zamboanga Office since it was took over by ever active OIC Schools Division Superintendent Pedro Melchor M. Natividad or whom close people fondly call Pete. His office has always been busy to improve the careers and morale of his office staff and the teachers under his jurisdiction.

Last September 7 to 9, DepEd Zamboanga brought another hbonor to our cioty when it sports delegates won the championship title of the 3rd Regional Sports Fest for Teachers and Employees held in Isabela City, Basilan Province. Pete proud of them explained it that their team work, skills, determination, dedication and courage led them to victory.  The delegate effort has given their best shots to bag the championship award he said.

Victoriano Miguel, Division MAPE Coordinator, admired Zambo Team that sendoff well selected players. Their proper training and mindset strategies with strength, endurance and confidence made them a tough team to beat he added.

Zambo DepEd garnered a total of 146.5 points. They ranked first in basketball, chess, table tennis and softball events. Pete with his newly appointed OIC Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Julieto Fernandez played hard and well in basketball and dart competitions respectively. They are excited already to defend their title next year.

I hope there will be a national sport fest too so that they can bag the national sport title and bring honor to our city.
