Tonight Zamboanga City will have a fun filled evening of laughter, wackiness, riots, and songs at the Garden Orchid Hotel. Two of our country’s best comedian singers, Pooh and K Brosas, will perform on stage with their hilarious antics in a special comedy show dubbed “Pooh K: Mas Alegre na Zamboanga”. This is part of the 2012 Zamboanga Hermosa Fiesta Festival being sponsored by the Zamboanga City Government to entertain our city visitors, at the same time, raise funds for the expansion of the charity medical wards of Zamboanga Puericulture Center.

The first time I saw Pooh on television as "Manny Pooh Quiao" 2 or 3 years ago I really thought the Pambansang Kamao has become a comedian. With his penciled mustache, taut hairstyle, and boxing shorts, he talked with the Manny Pacquiao accent and made the TV audience laughed. Kris Aquino who saw it suggested to Boy Abunda to manage Pooh when she saw his big potential.

Born in Samar, Pooh with the real name of Reynold Lagrimas Garcia, got his showbiz name from Disney’s well-loved character Winnie-the-Pooh. He started his career in a sing-along bar in Caloocan City while studying Computer Science at STI. He was later discovered by director Andrew de Real at Malate’s Library Bar where Pooh became a regular stand-up comedian.

I enjoyed watching Pooh today on ABS-CBN hit comedy TV show Banana Split Banana Splits with his impersonations of different characters and jokes that are not offensive. He can also belt out songs that can make people smile even cry. As one of the country’s brilliant entertainers, Pooh can make the crowds holler the moment he opens his mouth with his comic punch lines. I can sense he will go a long way in his career because he is dedicated in his craft and he has a sincere heart.

Fun to be with, Kakai Brosas, known widely as K Brosas is a total pure woman entertainer because of her versatility as a singer, host, comedienne and theater performer. She is the lead singer of the group K and the Boxers, which was formerly known as Gladys and the Boxers with K, and also a former lead singer of The Crucibles band. She has the ability to belt high pitch songs while doing her vocal acrobatics and can be compared to the likes of Whitney Houston and Barbra Streisand. She loves singing jazz blues music.

A Consumer's Choice Best Actress in a comedy role, K appears in various television shows like Bitoy's Funniest Home Videos, Idol Ko Si Kap, SIS, and SOP. She also appeared numerous times in Extra Challenge as both a challenger and guest host, and won twice in the GMA Network's K! The 1 Million Peso Videoke Challenge. Her life story has been shown in GMA's Magpakailanman. A certified sultry Hot Mama, she has been featured also in the pages of the men’s magazine FHM.

Don’t miss the comedy tandem performance. Let’s have fun tonight!
