To quote Henri Frederic Amiel, a Swiss philosopher and poet, “Thankfulness is the beginning of gratitude. Gratitude is the completion of thankfulness. Thankfulness may consist merely of words. Gratitude is shown in acts”. And this I saw in the 20th celebration of MCTV (Mindanao Cable Television) Zamboanga City last September 30, 2012 at the Grand Astoria Hotel. A free hilarious comedy show was held and lots of raffle prizes were given to thank MCTV their partners, loyal and new subscribers.

Dubbed, “The Many Faces of Willie Nepomuceno,” it featured our country top comic impersonator, Willie “WillieNep” Nepomuceno. He impersonated different top personalities and showbiz people including our Philippine President Noynoy Aquino. He brought the house down with his jokes, antics, and fast changing of costumes right on stage in front of the audience. Everybody had a good laugh, great time, and wanted for more.

It was a show of gratitude according to MCTV president Eusebio Lee, and a better way to show is to thru happiness, he said.  A non-Zamboangueño, Mr. Lee, in an exclusive interview with me, shared that he loves our city very much and aspires that his company will continue to serve and grow bigger as our city expands to a big mega metropolis in the years to come.

He is thankful for the support given by the local government and by the people of Zamboanga City. From a small office and lean staff, as the first cable company here, MCTV has grown leap and bounds offering now 75 channels (more than what other cable companies are offering), with a bigger office at Veterans Avenue, more staff and technical people, faster service, and still with the most affordable monthly rate . Furthermore, Sales Marketing Officer Kathryn Chua added, MCTV will continues its gratitude programs with free installation and clearer, better signals plus exciting prizes and new offers to make MCTV subscribers more happy. Nothing defeats MCTV Zamboanga in this field.

MCTV Cable carries exclusive channels like History Channel, Biography Channel, Crime & Investigation, Fox Family Movies, Fox News, Disney Junior, TVN – the newest Korean Variety Channel in the Philippines, E!
