Eleven (11) popular artists from Mindanao will showcase today and onwards their joint art exhibit at the Republika Art Gallery. Located at the heart of Libis, right beside Eastwood City in Quezon City, this fresh and carefully curated gallery, houses some of the hottest names in Philippine contemporary art and exemplary works from some of our country’s emerging talent.

As the metropolis storm spectators with an array of remarkable works, Mind The Now uncovers its layers to present a cultural feast that intensifies what is keen of Mindanao’s contemporary art scene. Featuring strong pieces that combine themes of mystery and waves of color familiar to an outsider’s notion of their culture. Mind The Now marks the triumph of the Mindanao artist: a powerful storyteller and a formidable force to reckon with at this very moment.

Republika, in this event, is proud to present to Greater Metro Manila Mindanawon top modern-day artists like Errol Pacheco Balcos, Oscar Floriendo, Michael Bacol Lagos, Michelle Lua, Albert Vamenta, Jericho Vamenta, Joel Geolamen, Mariano Catague, Rodney Yap, Edwin Jumalon, and Lorna Fernandez-Jumalon.

The Jumalon couple is Zamboanga City’s remarkable and multi-awardee artists from Sta. Maria. They have been invited in different art galleries around our country and abroad bringing honor to our city. Lately, they have been based in Manila where high end art patrons of Manila are taking notice of their eye catching art works.
