Thanks to the volunteer doctors from UP-PGH who composed the Physicians for Peace (PFP) around 107 disabled persons from Digos City, Davao del Sur can walk again and be more productive. A Foot Camp, wherein prosthesis legs and feet were attached, for free was held yesterday. PFP was partnered by Tzu Chi Foundation-Zamboanga City that sent doctors, technicians, and dedicated Tzu Chi supporters from our city. It was held at San Isidro Parish Church under Fr. Nestor Lizondra. He helped made the arrangements for this humanitarian event.

Physicians for Peace (PFP), Philippines is an in-country affiliate of Physicians for Peace International, an organization dedicated to the ideal that health care in the developing world can best be improved by providing training and education to health care professionals in these countries. PFP provides education, clinical care, and medical supplies to countries with unmet needs and scarce resources. Their mission is to further the cause of world peace and international goodwill by providing quality medical education and care to those in need.

Zamboanga City is blessed that the Tzu Chi Center located at Zamboanga Medical Center has the machines, technicians, and competent doctors to make prosthesis legs and feet. They cost hundreds of thousands one is confined and attached with prosthesis in private hospitals in key cities. We get it for free here.
