If you happen to go to Sta. Maria , you will surely notice the colorful walls of Edwin Andrew Airbase along the way.  It used to be a bland wall with an off-white color. But it is now “alive” as it brings the message of peace for Mindanao.  From  now on,  people flying in and out of our city will feel the exude of peace as they see the longest peace themed mural of Zamboanga.

In commemoration of the 27th anniversary of EDSA People Power, a grand and long stretch mural painting titled “EDSA Salabungan Sa Zamboanga– Walk Art Attack” with famous national mural artist Ag Sano was held there yesterday. People from all walks of life came and brought their own paint brush to give a stroke of one or two to the basic canvas mural painting of Sano. He actually came in last month and inspirationally started to mural paint one block of the long mile wall. He did the same in Jolo last month as part of his talent contribution of bringing peace thru his art.

The noble event was arranged by the Yellow Boat of Hope Foundation, Tzu Chi Zamboanga, PAF Edwin Andrews Air Base, EDSA People Power Provincial Council, PPVR Zamboanga, Office of Cong. Beng Salazar, and I Can Make A Difference Advocacy Group.
