Jam with the biggest musical event in Western Mindanao (Part- 2)

This is a continuation of the invitation to the General Public to join the Summer Peace Festival 2013 (SPF13) “Paz Musica del Mar” on April 30, 2013 at Vista del Mar. This is the first, the grandest and the most impressive summer musical concert in Western Mindanao that will be held in the name of peace and harmony.

A total of 9 bands (international singers and up-coming Filipino musicians) will converge on our shore and jam Mindanao. They will sing songs that will chill, relax, and make people enjoy the magic of music and show how it can unite people of different religion, culture and backgrounds together.

Groovy Music. One of the performing Pinoy bands will be the Manila-based Steady Machine. Composed of Rico Ledesma (lead vocals, guitar), Miggy Matute (bass guitar), and Niko Dinglasan (drummer), they will set the stage with fiery music. Originally called the Rico Experiment, the band has played for numerous productions around the country and continues to grow a following through their live performances.

The band will release their debut album entitled Organic Mechanic this year, which will consist of 9 original tracks. Steady Machine is best heard they say and enjoyed when one is feeling groovy. Come check them out and enjoy a cool steady musical trip.

Mushy Spanish Songs. In 2010, Spanish musician Victor Sala moved to the Philippines to embark on a life-changing project of growing mushrooms and help develop the Philippine mushroom industry. Never being able to leave his love for music behind, he continues to fuel his passion by starting the MushProject, his latest artistic incarnation.

Soon after he set up a professional home-recording studio with his close friend and business partner Jose Javier Ortoll to produce electronic music (U.F.O. Records). Last year MushProject supported the first Luna Musikalawaig Festival in Cagayan de Oro City, an arts and music festival that advocated awareness and provided psycho-social aid to Sendong Victims in an engaging manner. It was a noble success!

The overwhelming positive response to the musical style performed by Victor at the festival made him want to spread the psychedelic spirit all over the country. He has since expanded his range and continued recording new music. This summer of 2013, he makes his return to Mindanao by bringing a new style of Psychedelic electronica to the jungle and the sea of Mindanao. Hear his kind of music.

Electrifying Music. Illustrious SINYMA returns to Mindanao this year to electrify the audience with their original sound in Paz Musika Del Mar. Composed of Remixer/Producers Silverfilter and Madz Abubakar a.k.a Abdel Aziz, they are set to screen a new sound on a stage near you with performing artists/lyricist Nykó Macá & Artstrong.

They will offer a live sampling, club room, funk-reel preview of electronica with an original script. Abdel Aziz will take his progressive house background and methodically acts out 70s soul motions. Fellow Electronica Manila pioneer Cyril Sorongon a.k.a Silverfilter will draw on a wide range of instruments and versatility as he role plays guitar, keys, bass, and drums with his class act detroit techno.

Artstrong takes in the swag as another SINYMA triple threat going from keys to the keystar, bringing in the soul to the roots of dub and jabbing along in the musical action sequences with Nykó Maca. While Nykó Maca delivers the punch lines, action sequences, and dramatic tension in varying lines of Portuguese, French, English, and Filipino. Both curating and originating, this fresh Flip crew will have all thumbs up in the air and the box office ringing with the latest attraction. Savor their kind of energetic music.

Joining them on stage are New York based Fantazzi, Berlin’s top jazz German singer Thomas Walter and alluring Siri Svegler, Filipina Barcelona based Jazz soul siren Isa Tabasuares and singer/songrwriter fashionable singer Kate Torralba, international DJ Joel Clotas, and Manila-based band Human Folk.
