With God’s will and if plans will push thru, two of the fashion makers of our country will finally show to their fellow Tausugs and Zamboanguenos that if one is dedicated to your craft you can make it anywhere and be proud.

The Philippine’s Prince of Beads, Tausug, born in Jolo and grew up in Zamboanga City, Amir Sali is excited to share and inspire the people of Mindanao that they too can shine up the negative image of Mindanao with their talents. He is one of the most sougfht after fashion designers in Metro Manila. It may take months to set an appointment with him as he is always busy.

Amir is known for his intricate bead works that are mesmerizingly designed He “paints" a dress with genuine precious stones and gems imported directly from Europe. He is also popular with his sensational Amir Sali bags that never fail to elicit wows from people.

Amir learned his craft well when he became the fashion designer of Kings and Queens in the Middle East for years when he was based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He came back to set the House of Amir in Connecticut , Greenhills, San Juan City.  It is now the Royalties who come to our country when they want formal dresses and suits for special occasion. Amir also gained the respect of other Philippine fashion designers as he made the bead works of their designed clothes.

Danny Katalbas is the L’Oreal Ambassador to the Philippines and is very popular for creating couture hair styles. Beyond that, Danny is the hair master when it comes to styling and coloring your crown of glory whatever is your age. He can make you look and feel good. Rich and famous personalities of Metro Manila, top showbiz and business people as well top government officials go to him when they want to look their best all the time.

Danny worked with Teng Roma of Rockwell’s Emphasis Salon before establishing his own parlor, Privat Salon, at the Fort with business partners. Teng encouraged Danny to establish his own set of clienteles. When Danny left Zamboanga City more than a decade ago, he never thought that he will reach this stage of prestige. All he wanted is to enjoy cutting and setting hairs of people.

Watch out for their joint, biggest and multi-million budget fashion show. Amir and Danny will be bringing top personalities and international models. The good news is they will be inviting local people and models to join them.
