It was again an adventure for the members of Zamboanga Adventure Tourism and Eco-Recreation Society (ZATERS) last January 29. With District 2 City Councillor VP Elago, the reliable Zamboanga Red Cross and some City Tourism Police as escorts , they went nature tripping in one could be one of Zamboanga City’s potential tourism spots – the Dulian Falls that transverse through the Barangka River in Bunguiao.

To make the trip memorable, the Zaters even planted around 50 Mahogany Trees on the way to the water falls. It was one way for the group to “invest” for the future protection of nature. The group had a whole day of swimming and fun communing with mother nature.

According to Councilor Elago, this beautiful spot will be one of his legacy works for the people of Zamboanga City. The water falls that cascade to lagoon with picturesque gigantic rocks around it is so breathtaking, he said. Through the City Tourism Council in which he is part of and with the full support of Zamboanga City Mayor Celso Lobregat, Elago will bring this matter to the City Council for support of development and for promotion of this awesome place.

For more information about this place and how to join Zaters next trip, contact the local Department of Tourism office.
