There is another reason why Zamboanga City should watch the upcoming movie, When The Love Is Gone. The theme song of the movie sang by Jason Farol was written by Zamboagueña song writer Geraldine “Jay” Lim who is making a big name in the music industry. Jay has written songs for Philippine Soul Siren and OPM Awardee Nina and for Anne Curtis, and has been invited by Malaysian musical producer Julfekar Ahamd Shah for a joint-project around Asia. Aside from writing songs, Jay is an executive producer and talent manager based now in Manila. She constantly update me her happenings in the music industry, and I am glad to learn that she is constantly on the move to discover more talents from our city.

Back to the movie. It is VIVA Films' 32nd anniversary offering that stars Cristine Reyes, Gabby Concepcion, Andi Eigenmann, Jake Cuenca and Alice Dixon that will be shown  on November 27 nationwide. It is a remake on one of the best Pinoy classic films, “Nagalit Ang Buwan Sa Haba Ng Gabi,” that was directed by award-winning director Danny Zialcita.  The new version stars the best actresses and actors from two different generations under the helm of prolific director Andoy Ranay.

In the story, great actors Dindo Fernando and Gabby Concepcion portrayed the role of a man torn between keeping his family intact or being with the woman he loves. Together with veteran  actresses, Laurice Guillen and Alice Dixson, they gave magic in this twisted love story. Watch as Cristine Reyes and Gabby Concepcion reprise once more the intense love story of Dindo Fernando and Gloria Diaz.  And feel the agony of lost love by Jake Cuenca once played by Eddie Garcia.
