STI College-Zamboanga City, one of the finest educational institutions in Western Mindanao, had its 1st Grand Homecoming last December 22, 2013 in one the newest hotels in this city. It was an enjoyable and memorable affair as old college classmates and chums met after a long time and reminisced their college days. They also updated with one another about their civil status (single, married, or just complicated), families, and their present careers.

What is great about STI really is after graduation, the graduates can find work easily and most of them end up in high paying jobs here and abroad. I had featured some of their graduates in past Pep Talk issues who are now employed in multi-national companies occupying top positions.

I learned from STI Administrator Norwesa Madriaga that the school is now offering new courses in demand in the market. I am glad to see STI-Zamboanga is evolving always for the better as the years go by. It is very active in providing the right training and developmental programs for their STI personnel and teaching staff. They are one of the best work forces in our local education industry. STI students are given the knowledge and proper exposures making them reliable individuals from day one of their enrollment.

Elected as the new president of the STI Alumni Association Zamboanga Chapter (STI-AA) is Aldimin Kalli. This year’s  guest speaker is Prof. Roderick Go of WMSU IT Department.  The new set of officers is looking for a bigger gathering as more alumni had expressed to join the next homecoming this 2014.  STI-Zambpanga Placement Officer Jeffrey Aniňon announced that STI is now partnering with reputable companies for employment of their new graduates this year.
