Instead of their regular weekly meeting, it was a revelry Halloween party for the Toastmaster Club (TM) of Zamboanga City last October 27 at the garden of the Profeta Family. Organized by past president Mau Bello and emceed by current president Nikki Wong, the TM members and their guests were treated with a sumptuous dinner and were “tricked” to come in their scariest costumes and joined parlor games for fun.

Trivia: Toastmasters International is an ideal organization  for people who are terrified of public speaking. The organization's program is designed to improve public speaking and leadership skills through having its members run meetings and give prepared and impromptu speeches. The nonprofit group boasts about 250,000 members in some 12,500 clubs across the US and in 100 other countries worldwide. Toastmasters counts actor Tim Allen, Reagan press secretary James Brady, tennis star Billie Jean King, former US astronaut James Lovell, and many elected officials among its membership. Toastmasters International was established in 1924 by Ralph Smedley,

The TM of Zamboanga meets every Wednesday evening at the Laviña Hotel. Everybody is invited to join the club.
