SM Mall, Asia’s Premiere Shopping Destination, presented with pride Philippines Prince of Beads Amir Sali last May 24 with SM celebration “SM City, My City, My Craft Event.” It was in recognition of Amir’s uniquely and classy designs that is distinctively Filipino. This is part of SM current promotional campaign to recognize top Filipino fashion designers who bring pride to our country and to tell the world about it.

Amir successfully launched his first grand fashion show only last February at Resort World Hotel since he came back to the Philippines a few years back. He used to be based in the Middle East where he is one of the favored fashion designers of Royal Families. Now they are the ones coming to our country to have fittings.
Amir felt the calling of God to come back home and share his talents to the Filipino people. He aims to make Philippines as the Capital Fashion of Asia by uniting and by helping upgrade the local fashion industry scenes. He established the House of Amir to showcase his formal and informal wears which includes bags.  He became more popular because of his exquisite beads works that never fails to awe people, hence, he is labeled as the Philippines Prince of Beads. He even does bead works for other designers when they request him.

Since coming back he has been designing clothes of personalities from prominent families, showbiz, and top government officials. In between, he flies to Europe to get his clothing materials from different countries which includes imported high quality buttons and threads.
Amir hails from Jolo, Sulu. His family transferred to Zamboanga City in the ‘70s and he studied fashion arts in Cebu City. He always says that he is from Mindanao wherever he goes and when being introduced.
