To serve our community was the main message of newly inducted PICPA (Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants) Zamboanga-Basilan Chapter President Alejandro “Al” Cabading last July 8, 2011 at Lantaka Hotel.

A  Godly man with an inspirational life story to emulate, Cabading was inducted into office by his fellow Lamiteño Lamitan City Mayor Roderick Furigay in a formal ceremony.

Sworn together with him were Perla Bala (Executive Vice-President), Florivel de Jesus (VP for Professional Development and Research), Brenda Luz Molina (VP for Membership Growth and Development), Eric Enriquez (Secretary), and  Susana Aguisando (Treasurer).

The newly elected directors are Atty. Edita Bola (Director for Public Affair), Roger Larracochea (Director for Commerce and Industry), Myrna Torralba (Director for Governor), Maxima Alconera (Director for Government), Marlon Alabata (Physical Fitness Program), Avelina Pasanting (Social and Community Involvement), Pio Calumpang Jr. (Students Participation), Ronald dela Cruz (Communication and Public Relation), Evelina Balbon (Finance Chapter Anniversary), Cesar Gonzales (Senior Regional Director for Southern Mindanao), Elizabeth Parreno (Southern Mindanao Representative to Public Service), and Luzminda Ali (Southern Mindanao Representative for Government).

Earlier in the day, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) conducted a seminar for this organization. PICPA mission is to enhance the integrity of the accountancy profession, serve the best interest of its members and other stakeholders, and contribute to the attainment of the country’s national objectives.
