RCZC reaches out and embraces humanity on their 64th year PDF Print E-mail

The 64th and newly elected president of the Rotary Club of Zamboanga City (RCZC), Rikki Lim, started his new responsibility as a leader servant in a formal joint induction and turn-over ceremonies at the Sapphire Ballroom of Grand Astoria Hotel last July 3, 2011. Zamboanga City Mayor Celso Lobregat, who was the inducting officer,  pledged to support the community efforts of the club.

It was also the induction of the new officers of the Rotary Anns of Zamboanga City led by civic leader Elsa Sebastian. They were inducted into office by Human Nature founder Anna Meloto-Wink. Human Nature is our country’s first pure organic company that is admired for their different corporate social responsibility program.  She cited how her company was able to give livelihood in different communities.

Special guest was Dr. Melvin dela Serna, the new governor of Rotary District 3850. Immediate DG James Makasias surprised the club with special award to outgoing RCZC President Sixto “jun” Kwan Jr. for leading the club to higher heights during Makasiar’s governorship.

RCZC is the oldest Rotary Club in Western Mindanao and the 11th oldest Rotary Club in our country. On deck now are programs to help different communities in this city, Pres. Lim said enthusiastically.
