After 6 years, my niece, Chula Espiritu, finally said I Do to his American fiancée Ron John Olzak in a solemn Christian wedding at Tanghalang, Pasig City last July 12, 2012. Almost every night the phone line burns between them for hours. This union is a symbol of a true love that bloomed stronger as the years went by.

The beaming bride is the only daughter of my late brother Manolo Espiritu and his baker/make-up artist Bella Espinosa-Espiritu. They moved to Manila more than a decade ago when my brother died.

Chula works as an in-demand call center agent. Since she has learned to speak Spanish easily and knows how to speak in American and British accent, she is being paid higher compare to other agents. In her spare time, she helps her Mom bake cakes and pastries which they sell to her officemates and friends on an order basis. Ron works in a catering business and learning how to be a chef in the USA. Chula’s baking skills perfectly match the work nature of Ron. They can put up together their own food business someday.

The wedding ceremony was simple with only a few and close relatives and friends as guests. They had a great reception after the exchange of their matrimony vow.

To Ron, please take care of our beloved Chula. God bless your union with a blissful marriage.
