This year’s batch of Miss Red Cross 2012 of Zamboanga City was a bevy of stunning young ladies. They could represent our city in any national beauty pageants. Beyond the stunning looks, they are confident, talented, witty and full of charm.

As candidates of Miss Red Cross, they must possess already the qualities of a regal beauty queen.  Aside from possessing pleasing personality, they must have high moral value and daughters of respectable families. They are meticulously selected and carefully screened by a panel of judges before they are presented to the public.

The fairest among all is Ateneo de Zamboanga pretty college student, Yvonne Napao, who bagged the prestigious title of Miss Red Cross 2012 and was crowned last October 26 at the Celebrity Hall of Grand Astoria Hotel. She got a svelte body as she is one of best ballroom dancers of our city. She represented the business and establishment sector that supported her in this beauty for a cause contest.  Yvonne is the daughter of proud parents Rey and Rose Napao.

Her runner-ups are Maria Joy Pelayo from the Industrial Sector (1st runner-up), Erica Jane Elli of Education Sector (2rd runner-up), Kristel Dawn Apolinario of Local Government Sector (3rd runner-up), and Jessielyn Samson of Philippine National Police Sector (4th Runner-Up).

The annual search for Miss Red Cross is one of the prestigious and the most noble beauty search in this city. The contest has a good purpose. The funds raised are used to support the projects and programs of our local Red Cross Chapter presently headed by Dr. Victor Liozo.

As Miss Red Cross-Zamboanga , she will be the ambassadress of goodwill of the chapter  in different events of the Red Cross. She will help in its advocacy of encouraging people to donate blood that can save lives of people.
