November 30, 2012 was a red letter day for Christine Jane J. Villaneza, fondly called Queenie, is now a pretty lady. The whole Jaducana and the Villaneza clan trooped in full force at Cecille’s Pension House and Catering Services for her 18th birthday party.

Most, if not all, travelled all the way from Pagadian City, Ipil, Lamitan and Manila, to celebrate the “coming out” of ueenie. The Jaducana’s of Ipil, the Villaneza’s of Manila, friends from Lamitan and Zamboanga city, filled the hall.

With her pixie hair, elegant mini skirt dress, and three-inch heels, Queenie captivated everyone with her charming smile and girlish laugh.

Cecille’s poolside was decorated with the sweet colors of pink and lavender. The thee-layered fondant cake beautifully decorated with fresh strawberries and flowers by Cecille herself adorned the side of the stage where a simple program was held in honor of the birthday celebrator.

It was a heart-warming event with family and friends joining hands to make the event memorable and fun for Queenie, the little queen, who clearly holds a special place in the hearts of everyone in attendance at the party. Smiles and laughter filled the hall especially when the 18 candles and 18 roses were presented.

The first dance was with the loving father Bobong, followed by Van-van, the admittedly “makulit” and always troublesome little brother of Queenie, and a line-up of 16 handsome guys elbowing their way for a short dance with the lady. Well-wishes and unsolicited “how to handle boys and manliligaws” abound with friends, cousins and Titas joining in for the 18 debut candles.

The very meaningful part during the night was the ‘response’ given by Queenie. It was touching to listen to a very open and sincere “thank you” message from the celebrator to her Mommy Rose and Daddy Bobong. They took good care of her lovingly despite her being hard headed at times, she admitted.

Practicing her Hiligaynon, Queenie openly declared her love and appreciation to her family, including the ‘palaaway na si van-van”, who she
loves very much, her Lolo Tirso and Lola Flora who showered her with an abundance of care. It was a very moving moment that touched the hearts of everyone.

The debut party was light, happy and enjoyable. Everyone left with a smile in their lips, and with a belly-full of sumptuous Cecille’s mouthwatering
dishes.

But the night was made complete with the warm smile and pleasing personality of the celebrator. The little queen is now a full pledge Queenly Lady that will surely melt the hearts of many someday.

For the meantime, here’s wishing you the best to come, Queenie!
