Warm delight in a rainy day PDF Print E-mail

The unpredictable rain these past few days has kept me and my husband inside our abode. But last Friday, we decided to have a late afternoon date and try the newest creation of Myrna’s Bake House-Alvarez Branch – the Warm Brownie Cup! It is made of a yummy warm chocolate moist brownie cake topped with a vanilla ice cream and cherry. Perfect for the cold weather nowadays!

We also tried their full stuff Pizzadilla – a combination of pizza and picadilla. It was so heavy that saved us from eating dinner that night. Of course, a date at Myrna’s will not be complete without a slide of their creamy chocolate cake and sweet maja blanca with macapuno. The date felt good as we reminisced the dates we had in our younger days. Eating out is one of our passions, and in our age today, we do it often to try what’s new in town.

I could not help also notice of the tall cabinet display near the cashier counter. I discovered that Myrna’s is now selling cake toppings or decorations aside from cake flowers. It is one way, Myrna’s Cake Stylist Ivy Simbajon explained, help budding cake maker decorate cakes simply. Just put it on top of cakes or cupcakes, Ivy said. Voila! You now have an attractive cake! Mryna’s also sells blocks of pure white or dark chocolate for whatever purpose the user would like. It can be sliced and melted as creamy chocolate icing or in combination with other ingredients.

I am proud to know that Food Magazine, Philippine’s premiere food magazine, has featured the finest gastronomic delight of Zamboanga City in their August 2013 issue. Myrna’s Bake House was prominently mentioned by Editor-In-Chief Nana Ozaeta and rated it highly with its innovative products. She wrote that Myrna’s cakes and desserts are among the best she has tasted so far and we should all be proud of it.

Folks, let this Sunday be a happy day. Date with your parents or better still let them go out for a date by themselves.
