It may not have been a grand homecoming for the Nursing Batch Rubicon – ‘88 of Western Mindanao State University (WMSU) last December 2013. You see, the university’s annual homecoming in December was deferred by WMSU Alumni Board and moved to July this year due to the impact still being felt by the Zamboanga siege last October.

But still the 25th Silver Homecoming of these nursing students with their classmates and teachers was a remarkable one for those who were able to make it.  It became more memorable as the present university’s president, Dr. Milabel Ho, was once one of their favorite and well-loved professors during their college days. Dr. Ho welcomed them with an open arm and had a special recognition program for them at the open field.  She also joined the gala night fellowship they had in the evening at Garden Orchid Hotel.

Welcome home, our beloved nurses. Among them were Pinky Padel, Christl Corteza-Cortes, Dina Amazona, Mary Jean Pagente Gernale, Joy Valeros, Maria Fe Fabella, , Lizza Sanchez Caburnay, Jesusa Lopez Enopia Escalderon, Joy Valeros, Arlene Velga, Pinky Loon, Gemma Ong Abella, Fe Correncho, Julieta Silva Peralta, Florence Asagra Alcazar, Arlene Velga, and Vera Marie Altea Ansaldo. They are looking forward to another reunion with more classmates joining them.
