Kidnappers free Pagadian boy PDF Print E-mail

After almost two months in the hands of kidnappers, 10-year-old Ceekim Gomonit of Pagadian  City was released at 8: 00 a.m last Sunday in an undisclosed place in Lanao.

A police report disclosed that Ceekim was kidnapped with his grandmother Nenia “Babet” Candil- Gomonit on October 30, 2010, was released unharmed by his abductors.

Police Regional Office-9 Director Chief Supt. Elpidio Z. De Asis said there was no word or statement on the payment of ransom for Ceekim’s release.

De Asis said when Ceekim was released by the kidnappers, he was a given P 1,000 for his jeepney fare to Cotabato City. He arrived in Cotabato City on Sunday around 9.30 a.m.
In Cotabato City, he boarded a passenger van at 2:30 p.m. heading for Pagadian City where he underwent medical check-up.

Ceekim was abducted with his grandmother Nenia Gomonit who died while in captivity.
Meanwhile, De Asis said that police operatives in coordination with the military are still  working hard for the rescue of kidnapped Manicahan lass Maricris Cuartocruz. — Allen Abastillas
