A man was hacked to death by his cousin in Sitio Mala, Bolong last Tuesday afternoon.
Sangali Police Station commander Chief Insp. Elmer Acuña identified the fatality as Jerome Rojas, single.
He was killed by Jerry Reyes, who escaped after the incident.

Acuña said that Rojas and Reyes met around 4:30 p.m. and figured in a heated argument in connection with a previous personal dispute.

Reyes suddenly pulled a bolo and attacked Rojas. Police said Reyes hacked Rojas several times until the latter fell on the ground with several fatal hack wounds in the head and body.
Acuña said Rojas was rushed to the Zamboanga City Medical Center where he was declared dead on arrival.

The body was taken to a funeral parlor for post mortem examination.
Acuña said his men were dispatched to arrest Reyes. — Dan Toribio Jr.
