2 dead, 2 hurt in 2 bolo fights PDF Print E-mail

Two men were killed, while two others were wounded in two separate bolo attacks in Sibulao and Maasin last Sunday.

Ricardo Francisco y Salazar, 22, Elizer Cuartocruz and Roberto Poras were having a drinking spree at the store of Efifanio Arcillas at Sitio Dabuy Diutay in Sibulao when an unidentified men appeared and attacked them with bolos around 7:30 p.m.

The attackers left the place after the three were wounded.

The victims were rushed to the Vitali Lying-in Hospital and were later transferred to the Zamboanga City Medical Center but Francisco was declared dead on arrival.

Police were looking into personal dispute as the motive behind the bolo attack.

Meanwhile, Domelito Alfonso y Clemente, 45, married of Sitio Cabigan, Maasin was hacked to death by Nelvin Daquel.

The victim sustained multiple hack wounds in the body and died on the spot.

Daquel surrendered to the police after the incident and was detained pending the filing of charges in court. – Dan Toribio Jr.
