The Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) is preparing to welcome the signing of the Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro (CAB) between the government and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) this March 27 with meaningful activities across the region.

Large screens will be set up inside the ARMM compound in this city so that people can witness the signing as it happens. The region’s officials and employees will also offer prayers in support to the peace agreement.

ARMM Exec. Secretary Laisa Alamia said there will be “a celebration of peace in the Bangsamoro.”

On the night of March 27, a music and cultural fest will be held at the open grounds of the ARMM governor’s office.

Alamia said similar activities will be simultaneously held in each of the five component provinces and two cities of the region.

The ARMM has been, at the outset, supportive of the present peace process with ARMM Gov. Mujiv Hataman consistently pronouncing readiness to step aside to make way for provisions of the comprehensive peace agreement. — Bureau of Public Information
