Two persons were arrested for possession of a questionable gun and for attempting to resist police arrest at a fastfood joint along Gov. Camins Avenue at dawn yesterday.

Nabbed were Runing Ballo and Hilton Amar, both of Jolo, Sulu.

Confiscated from Amar’s possession was a .22 caliber pistol with 23 rounds of ammunition and two bullets of .45 caliber pistol. A knife was recovered from Ballo’s possession.

Policemen had earlier received an information that two men acting suspiciously were spotted in a fastfood joint.

Acting on the information, men of the Anti-illegal Drugs Special Operation Task Force swooped down on the joint and confronted the two men. However, Amar tried to resist arrest by pulling out his .22 caliber pistol but he was subdued by the lawmen.

Both were taken to the police station for investigation. They were detained pending the filing of charges against them.

Police were trying to determine whether the duo had been involved in criminal activities in the city. – Dan ToribioJr.
