HPG-9 recovers 2 stolen bikes PDF Print E-mail

Men of the Highway Patrol Group-9 have recovered two stolen motocycles in two separate operations for this month of March.

Sr. Supt. Severino B. Agustin, HPG-9 chief, disclosed that  a white Suzuki Skydrive with plate No. 8625 XQ was spotted by HPG-9 men led by Inspector Mervin Claret together with SPO1 Wilfredo P. Ator, chief,  Shipment Section, PO3 Arvin  Lozano and PO1 Benhaider Bello, at the local wharf while conducting routinary  inspection.

The Suzuki Skydrive was ready to be loaded to a vessel bound for Jolo, Sulu when the HPG men spotted it.

Upon ocular inspection, the HPG team checked with the Vehicle Infromation Management  System ( VIMS ) and found out that it was under the alarm and stolen list with Alarm Number 2012-1219- 057.

The real owner of the said motorcycle is A. C. Thomas of San Andres Bukid, Paco, Manila.

Agustin directed the HPG team to impound  the motorcycle and  coordinate with the Police Regional Office 9 Crime Laboratory  for the conduct of macro-etching examination.

The other motorcycle recovered by the Jolo Municipal Police Staion led by Supt. Roel Lami-ing, Chief of Police, together with Marines came during a joint checkpoint along Scott Road Jolo, Sulu. It was described as red Suzuki Raider 150 with plate number  7780 PO.

The motorcycle was searched by HPG-9 operatives thru coordination and it was found-out that the Suzuki Raider is under the alarm and stolen status with alarm number 2013-0825-060. It was reported stolen while parked in Filmore St., Palanan, Makati City on December 24, 2012. The said motorcycle was impounded at the Sulu Police Provincial Office.- Allen Abastillas
