The Recodo National High School turned one year old Friday, March 25.
With joy and thanksgiving, the Recodo National High Schoo headed by Dominic Baes, prepared a simple but meaningful program to celebrate the founding anniversary with Mayor Celso Lobregat, represented by Councilor Rudy Lim as guest of honor.

The school is a testimony of the firm commitment of the Lobregat administration to support and assist the education sector and ultimately to ensure a better future for the city’s youth.

From scratches, the school is now a sprawling complex, equipped with 2 units of 2-storey 8 classroom buildings, fence and road network—all courtesy of the magnanimous efforts of Mayor Lobregat in his bid to intensify education-related projects.

Said school is just one of the schools created and established during Mayor Lobregat’s second term. The others include the Talon-Talon National High School, Capisan National High School, Lubigan Annex High School and Landang Gua Integrated School.

Councilor Lim relayed to the school administration, parents and students the mayor’s warm greetings and narrated how Recodo National High School came into being.

“…it all started with the donation of the one-hectare land owned by the Consunji family. Later, the City under the leadership of Mayor Lobregat constructed two units of two-storey eight-classroom building including the fences and road networks”, Lim said.

Due to sound fiscal management, the city government under Lobregat was able to allocate over P21 million for the school facilities in just a short span of time. “If we wait for the Department of Education (DEPED) we will wait forever”, the mayor said then.

The school administration expressed gratitude appreciation to the Lobregat administration for the continuous support and assistance and for giving utmost priority to education.

The theme of their first anniversary was: “Moving Onwards Towards Greater Challenges.” — Richard Aliangan/City Hall PIO
