A 27-year-old man was shot and wounded by a security guard at GST Bularan Compound in Logoy Grande, Talon-Talon last Saturday night.

Wounded was Willy Sandao y Maginda, married. He was shot by Lyndon Andig, 48, a security guard of Skylink Security Agency and a resident of Tugbungan.

Sandao sustained a pellet wound in the right leg and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Andig was arrested by men of the Zamboanga City Public Safety Company and was detained at the Tetuan Police Station.

Police said Sandao, Andig and Allan Adaro were having a drinking spree around 9 p.m. when the gun attack took place.

After consuming gallons of fermented coconut sap (tuba) , the trio proceeded to a videoke bar owned by Anaklita Putong at the vicinity of GST compound. An hour later, Sandao and Andig went out of the videoke bar while Adaro was left behind.

Moments later, a gunfire was heard coming from the Bularan compound prompting Adaro to check it. He found Sandao wounded in the right leg.

Policemen conducted a follow-up operation that resulted in the arrest of Andig. – Dan Toribio Jr.
