Mayor Celso Lobregat has once again extended the list of benefactors of his massive infrastructure projects, as he recently inaugurated and turned over a P2.2 million covered court worth at the Training and Doctrine Command, Camp Gen. Arturo T. Enrile in Malagutay in the west coast.

The inauguration and turnover activity kicked off the opening of 1st Army Training Group Basketball Tournament for the first quarter of 2011.

It was during the same tournament last year when Mayor Lobregat promised the construction of a covered court of the then newly-inaugurated basketball court. Last Tuesday, the promise was fulfilled completing a P2.2 million sports facility with covered court.

Mayor Lobregat has initiated a massive infrastructure program in the city displaying progress and development in all barangays of the city. The projects cover a wide-array of sectors— education, social welfare, police, reformatory centers, barangays and the military.

Task Force Zamboanga Commander Col. Buenaventura Pascual expressed appreciation to Mayor Lobregat for the continuous contributions to the military specifically the recreational facility.

During the program, Mayor Lobregat also provided instant prices for the winners of the pre-tournament gimmicks which contributed to the lively atmosphere of the program.

Present in the ceremony were Councilors Percival Ramos, Nonong Guingona and Rogelio Valesco Jr. — Richard Aliangan/City Hall PIO
