HPG implements SUMVAC 14 measures PDF Print E-mail

The Highway Patrol Group NationaL Headquarters is implementing “Summer Vacation 2014 (SUMVAC 14)  nationwide starting March up to the end of May.

HPG-9 Chief Sr. Supt. Severino B. Agustin said the Philippine National Police has set up security measures to ensure peace and order and public safety during the summer vacation. This summer part of the year is full of activities, such as closing of school, celebrations and observances such as Holy Week, town fiestas, Flores de Mayo and others starting last week of March until the end of May.

Agustin said a memorandum he received from HPG National Director Chief Supt.  Arrazad Panuelo Subbong dated March 14, 2014,  directed all RHPGs to deploy road safety marshals along main thoroughfares in support to Police Regional Offices nationwide; coordinate with the Department of Transportation and Communications for the establishment of joint motorists/ passengers assistance desks centers and also with land transport companies/groups for complement supports, perform other tasks as directed to  safeguard motorists and coordinate with the Armed Forces of the Philippines and local government units in their  areas of jurisdiction. — Allen Abastillas
