A college student was stabbed and wounded by three suspected holduppers along Don Toribio Street, Tetuan at dawn last Tuesday.

Police identified the victim as Nicolas Antay y Esperancilla, 19, single, of Tetuan.

Antay told the police he was walking along Don Toribio Street, on his way home coming from an internet café around 1:25 a.m. when three men aboard a motorcycle appeared and stopped in front of him.near the entrance gate of the Tetuan Central School.

Antay said the trio  announced a heist at knifepoint.

Police said that Antay resisted and tried to block the hand of one of the men who was holding a knife.

However, the knife wielder stabbed him in the different parts of the body, then he and his companions sped away aboard their motorcycle.

Police said the assailants failed to get anything from the victim.

Antay was rushed to the hospital aboard an ambulance of the Emergency Respond Team. — Dan Toribio Jr.
