Two persons were killed, while a policeman was wounded in three separate shooting incidents in Tetuan and Calarian Wedneday night and at dawn yesterday.

Eliezer Cuartocruz Rico, a jeepney driver, was shot dead by a gunman along Don Toribio Street, Tetuan around 7:30 p.m.

Police said Rico was on his way home driving his jeepney, when a gunman appeared and shot him several times.at the junction of Don Toribio and Atilano Streets

The bullet wounds made Rico unconscious, causing the jeepney to crash on a store, while the gunman walked casually to a getaway motorcycle that sped to unknown direction.

Rico sustained multiple bullet wounds in the body and was taken to the hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.

Policemen recovered five spent shells of .45 caliber pistol at the crime scene.

Alberto Bron Pajares was shot dead by a gunman along Cabato Road, Tetuan around 3 a.m. yesterday. He sustained a bullet wound in the head and died on the spot.

DZT gathered that Pajares was walking when he was shot.

Recovered from his possession was a plastic sachet containing suspected shabu.

PO1 Al Muhajil, 36, married, of the Pata Municipal Police Station in Sulu was shot and wounded by a certain Merkhan at Sitio Kapuk, Flamingo Village, Calarian around 6 p.m. He sustained a bullet wound in the right cheek and was taken to the hospital.
