HPG marks 59th founding anniversary PDF Print E-mail

The Highway Patrol Group will celebrate its 59th Founding  Anniversary on Monday, May 5.

The celebration will be led by  HPG National Director Chief Supt. Arrazad Panuelo Subong during the the traditional Monday flag raising ceremony at 7:30 a.m. in front of the Philippine National Police National Headquarters building in  Camp Crame Quezon City.

Inspector Joseph  A. Fontanilla  Jr. said that Sr. Supt. Severino B. Agustin, HPG 9 chief,  was directed by national headquarters to attend the celebration in Camp Crame on Monday.

Fontanilla as instructed by Agustin conducted a Road Safety and Traffic Seminar at at Apo Lodge No. 45 in Barangay Sta. Catalina during an “Operation Tuli” sponsored by the Masonry Bortherhood yesterday morning.

The participants to the seminar were the parents and their children while waiting for the actual free circumcision sponsored by the lodge. More than 130  kids were availed of the free circumcision.

Among the topics of the  Road Safety and Traffic seminar were the mandatory  wearing of helmet by drivers and backriders of motorcycle  as implemented by the Helmet Law and how to avoid and prevent vehicular accident.

HPG 9 personnel also distributed to the parents  leaflets on anti-carnapping. — Allen Abastillas
