Police on high alert status arrested on Sunday another suspected Abu Sayyaf bandit involved in the kidnapping of six members of the Jehovah’s Witnesses in Sulu,

Abu Ondil was arrested along the Sinunuc highway around 5 p.m.

Ondil has a pending warrant of arrest for six counts of kidnapping and serious illegal detention with no bail bond recommended by the court.

The warrant with case number 128923-H A to E was issued by Judge Toribio Ilao Jr. of the Regional Trial Court Branch 266 in Pasig City.

Ondil was tagged as one of the ASG men who seized six members of the Jehovah’s Witnesses in  Patikul, Sulu last 2002.

Ondil was arrested a day after Abu Kim was nabbed by government forces along Mercado Street, this city last Saturday afternoon.

The two arrested ASGs were placed under tactical interrogation pending their proper turn-over to the court.

Police and army troopers have been on high Level 3 alert since last week following intelligence reports of terror plots by Abu Sayyaf and other terrorist groups in Zamboanga City. – Dan Toribio Jr.
