The City Civil Registrar (CCR) extended its services to residents in far-flung barangays as it joined the service caravan of the Dia de Alcalde series for the 1st quarter of 2014.

Providing consultation services for birth registration and other official documents, the CCR, along with other local government offices participating in the Dia de Alcalde, visited the barangays of Pamucutan, Tolosa, Bunguiao, Malagutay, La Paz, and Lunzuran to serve a total of 415 individuals.

Among the services rendered by the office were mobile mass registration of birth, issuance of birth certificates/certification, and the provision of information on other registration services and procedures.

The CCR will continue to provide its services in succeeding Dia de Alcalde celebrations, in a bid to facilitate civil registrations, and strengthen the people’s awareness of civil documents.

The Dia de Alcalde is a service-oriented caravan dedicated towards bringing frontline government services in the community. It is conducted during barangay fiesta celebrations as part of the Climaco administration’s priority thrusts on Security, Health and Education (SHE). — Jasmine Mohammadsali
