A 31-year-old woman was killed while her male cousin escaped unscathed in a gun attack along Natividad St., Tetuan last Friday night.

Slain was Madelyn Almendras y Basilio, single, of Don Toribio St., Tetuan.

Police said Almendras sustained two bullet wounds in the head and was rushed to the Western Midanao Medical Center where she was declared dead on arrival.

Initial investigation disclosed that Almendras was fetched by her cousin Rodel Almendras aboard a motorcycle from Tsubasa Meat House along the highway in Putik where she was working as store in-charge. They were on their way to her residence in Tetuan, when two men riding tandem on another motorcycle chased them and the backrider shot Almendras twice along Natividad St. around 9 p.m.

The gunmen sped after shooting Almendras.

Policemen recovered two spent shells of .45 caliber pistol at the crime scene.

Witnesses told the police that the gunmen sped towards Falcatan St..
