With two years to go before the 2016 National Elections, the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) urges voters to take advantage of the early registration.

“Register early. Don’t wait for the last days,” said PPCRV chairperson Henrietta de Villa.

De Villa asked first time voters to take advantage of the summer vacation to register early and reminded the public that registration is the first step to exercising one’s right and duty to vote.

Meanwhile, the PPCRV chairperson also reminded registered voters to check their registration status especially if biometrics was taken already.

“Without biometrics, you can’t vote in 2016,” added De Villa.

She also called on those who were delisted for failure to vote in two successive preceding regular elections to reactivate their registration.

“If you haven’t voted in the last two elections, reactivate your registration,” de Villa explained.
