2 hurt in west coast bolo, knife violence PDF Print E-mail

Two persons were wounded in separate bolo and knife attacks in Pamucutan and Ayala the other day.

Antonio Cristobal y Francisco, married, of Zone 3, Pamucutan was hacked by his relative Romel Antonio y Manuel, of the same place.

Initial investigation showed that Cristobal and Antonio were walking towards their respective residences when the latter got angry due to a joke made by the former.

Antonio pulled out a scythe and hacked Cristobal in the body.

The attacker escaped after the incident but was arrested during a follow-up operation.

Cristobal was taken to the hospital while Antonio was detained pending the filing of charges in court.

Jay Mark Balasa y Luna, 19, of Ayala and a native of Lunkaan, Guilinan, Zamboanga Sibugay was stabbed and wounded by Herbert Torralba y Garcia, 24, of Ayala.

Balasa sustained multiple stab wounds in the body and was taken to the hospital.

Investigation disclosed that Balasa was on his way home from a store when Torralba blocked his path and stabbed him in the body.

Although wounded, the victim managed to run and sought assistance from some residents along the highway, He was taken to the hospital.

Torralba was nowhere to be found during a follow-up operation. – Dan Toribio Jr.
